Best Blenders 2026: From Smoothies to Soups

A Good Blender Changes Everything

I went through three cheap blenders before finally investing in a decent one, and I wish I’d just done it from the start. A good blender handles smoothies, soups, sauces, nut butters - basically anything you throw at it. The cheap ones struggle with frozen fruit and leave chunks everywhere.

Prices range from pretty affordable to “are you serious?” so here’s what’s actually worth the money.

Top 5 Blenders

1. Vitamix A3500

There’s a reason Vitamix has a cult following. This thing blends absolutely anything. Kale stems, ice, frozen bananas - doesn’t matter. I’ve made nut butter from scratch in it multiple times and the texture comes out perfect.

The 10-year warranty tells you they’re confident it’ll last. My aunt has a Vitamix from like 2010 and it still works perfectly. It’s an investment but probably the last blender you’d ever need to buy.

It’s big though. If counter space is tight, you might want to measure first.

2. Ninja Professional Plus — Best Value

Ninja delivers really impressive performance without the premium price tag. I’ve used this at a friend’s place and honestly it handles most things just as well as more expensive options. Crushes ice, blends frozen fruit, and comes with single-serve cups.

It’s not quite Vitamix smooth - you might notice tiny bits in your green smoothies if you’re picky. And it’s a bit loud. But for the price? Hard to complain.

3. Vitamix E310

Want Vitamix quality but not ready for the flagship price? The E310 is how you get in. Same incredible blending power, just a smaller container and manual controls instead of the programmable ones.

I’ve seen some people prefer this one specifically because it’s smaller and fits in their cabinets better. Makes sense if you’re not blending for a crowd every time.

4. NutriBullet Pro 900 — Personal Blender

If you’re mainly making smoothies for yourself, why bother with a huge blender? The NutriBullet is quick - like 30 seconds to make a smoothie - and you blend right in the cup you drink from. Less cleanup.

My roommate in college had one and we used it constantly. It’s tiny, fits anywhere, and the cups are dishwasher safe.

Can’t do hot soups though, and it’s only for single servings. But if that’s all you need, it’s great.

5. KitchenAid K400

If something’s sitting on your counter, it might as well look good. The K400 comes in those signature KitchenAid colors and actually performs well too. The asymmetric blade design seemed gimmicky to me at first but it actually works.

Not as powerful as a Vitamix - you’ll notice the difference with really tough ingredients. But for everyday smoothies and sauces, it handles them well and looks nice doing it.
